Testimonials from students:

"Laura is great with my 5 year old who just started playing the violin and reading music. She makes it fun while still making him work and she adjusts her lessons according to his interests and strengths/weaknesses. Highly recommended."

"Laura is just wonderful! She works extremely well with my daughter and is flexible in terms of scheduling which is essential for me and my 4 year old. I'm amazed at how much my daughter has learned in only 2 lessons! I highly recommend Laura. She is knowledgeable, friendly, and a great teacher!"

"Laura teaches both me and my almost 4 year old daughter. She's an expert violinist and she interacts very well with both of us. She's extremely patient with my daughter, and teaches her in a way that she can understand well. Despite being am expert, she's a very down to earth person, and both of us eagerly look forward to the classes. We're having a great experience with Laura. Thumbs up!!"

"We contacted Laura when our thirteen-year-old daughter needed a new violin instructor. Our daughter was getting to the point that flaws in her technique were restricting her ability to move forward with her studies. We sat down with Laura at an initial lesson, noted our concerns and hopes for instructional direction, and found her to be an able and agreeable communicator. This instilled confidence in her ability to deal with the sometimes-changing needs of a student in this age range.
In the months since, Laura has proven an effective instructor. She has an ability to encourage the diligence needed to work on breaking bad habits while still moving forward with learning new pieces and techniques. Her instructional style (with our daughter at least) is far more collaborative than domineering, which is exactly what she needs at this time.
In addition, she evaluates and adapts to our daughter's progress and does not try to fit her into a rigid learning style or schedule. That said, she still keeps long-term goals firmly in mind and does not lose sight of them for the needs of the moment. Her continued excellent communication both with our daughter and with us helps to keep us aware of how we can help our daughter meet her musical goals from week to week. We could not be happier with Laura as an instructor at this time. She is highly recommended."
